Azienda Agricola Caudrina’s History and Philosophy

The Caudrina farm is located in Piedmont in Castiglione Tinella in the province of Cuneo about 90 km from Turin and 25 km from Alba and Asti. And it is precisely in the territory where the Langa Bassa collides with the last fringes of Monferrato that Caudrina produces its wine and especially its Moscato from its vineyards.

The company is located at a height of about 408 meters, where the territory is totally hilly and cultivated with vineyards, in fact this data leads to being Castiglione Tinella among the most vineyards of Italy.
Among the vineyards, the remaining patches of forest, called “banks”, and the rare poplar groves, unique landscapes can be observed from the cellar where the emotion emerges among old glimpses of time, hills so dear to Cesare Pavese.

The birth of this company dates back to the early 1940s by the father Redento Dogliotti who gave birth to a first activity, which was then continued in the 70s by his son Romano Dogliotti .
Romano Dogliotti, Muscatist is the owner of the La Caudrina company, as well as president of the Asti Consortium . The management is familiar as per Piedmontese tradition, in which the indispensable help of his wife Bruna and his three sons Alessandro , Sergio and Marco have built over the years on the hills of Castiglione Tinella an excellent wine reality.

While in the Nizza Monferrato area Barbera d’Asti, Chardonnay and Nebbiolo are produced, while the production of Asti docg “La Selvatica” was started in 1994.

Romano Dogliotti and with him his family, remains tied to the traditions, but with a decisive openness to the new technologies with which he wanted to equip his new cellar. The result is a wine production of the highest level, worthy heir of the most noble Piedmontese tradition, but open to the future, with attention to the different needs of the market.
