(MONFUMO – TREVISO) Tenuta Amadio is a company that produces wine based in the municipality of  Monfumo , not far from  Asolo.  The cellar is famous for the production of the Charmat Extra Dry Prosecco Asolo Superiore, Extra Brut Prosecco Asolo Superiore, Millesimato Dry Prosecco Asolo Superiore and Prosecco Doc Treviso Brut Monfumino Spumante wines.

Tenuta Amadio’s History and Philosophy

A territory not yet fully explored is that of the suggestive hills of the Montegrappa foothills , located within the Asolo Prosecco Docg. Hills that are still intact and express their soul in wine. Also called silent hills , they frame the small ancient village of Monfumo , not far from Asolo , where in the hamlet of Castelli di Monfumo the family-run Tenuta Amadio company conducts its wine activities for the production of excellent Prosecco.

The management is entrusted to two young and highly trained entrepreneurs Simone and Silvia Rech, who represent the new generation of the Rech family, a family that already had activities in this area since the mid-1800s and who thanks to the passion and will of the new managers have been recovered.

The 20 hectares of property, 12 of which are planted with vineyards, are divided into different possessions: the Vigneto del Biss, the Vigneto del Longon and the Vigneto Era Grande and are placed at an altitude that varies between 80 and 200 m above sea level and characterized from marly-clayey soils, which enjoy a temperate microclimate; these characteristics are ideal for the cultivation of indigenous grapes, mainly Glera and in part Bianchetta and Pinot Nero, giving each wine produced different scents and aromas.

The care of the company vineyards is carried out by practicing sustainable agriculture, respecting the environment and natural times for the ripening and processing of the grapes. These attentions are also evident in the company, which has in fact been structured with sustainable energy, in which all its complex and all the energy that is consumed is produced by photovoltaic panels, sufficient for the needs of managing the cellar. As well as the recovery of rainwater put at the service of the cellar, through a pumping system. The strength of Tenuta Amadio are also the sophisticated and modern technologies, which allow continuous monitoring of all the processing phases of the grapes and subsequently of the wine, then following a vinification with the Martinotti-Charmat method.

The wines of Tenuta Amadio

The line produced is well structured and sees Asolo Prosecco Superiore Docg as the point of excellence, which is expressed in the various labels, to name a few: the Extra Dry Prosecco Asolo Superiore, the Extra Brut Prosecco Asolo Superiore, the Millesimato Dry Prosecco Asolo Superiore and Prosecco Doc Treviso Brut Monfumino Spumante, the latter unlike the others obtained from 100% Glera, is made with 95% Glera and 5% Bianchetta. But there is a wine in this case the Bianchetta Montello Colli Asolani Doc Castelli D.O.C 100% Bianchetta Trevigiana, soft and fruity, which gives prestige to the main grape of the Monfumo hills, which has been known since the 16th century. The line also features an Extra Dry Rosè Spumante obtained from Pinot Noir. Finally Tenuta Amadio organizes interesting tasting tours, in the beautiful tasting room inside the company, with tours also in the vineyard, up to the small and suggestive church, located on the top of the highest hill, which inspired the Tenuta Amadio logo.
