Tasting of Poderi Colla’s Bricco del Drago Langhe DOC 2015 wine
We taste the red wine of Bricco del Drago 2015
PODERI COLLA
With a ruby color that combines the brilliance of Dolcetto with the intensity of the purplish red of Nebbiolo, giving the color that particular nuanced but intense depth. The nose is persistent, but refined, sometimes releasing a vague memory of bitter almond, but immediately after, turning the glass, one gets the impression of smelling a light and abstract scent mixed with violet and tobacco. With an absolutely unexpected taste, the tobacco is confirmed, but it explodes with aromas of under the forest and spacings of cinnamon softened by the presence of Nebbiolo making the tannin of Dolcetto soften and take that unique elegance that makes this wine an exception, why not it contains the usual characteristics of neither Dolcetto nor Nebbiolo, but, thanks to its slightly Bordolesian assembly, both the neophyte with a naïve palate and the more insatiable ennob agree. A wine that lends itself easily to aging.
