Rachtl Sauvignon Blanc Riserva 2018 – Tiefenbrunner
The Rachtl Sauvignon Blanc Riserva 2018 by Tiefenbrunner is characterized by a bright straw yellow.
The olfactory picture is complex and fine and outlines varietal notes of alpine flora, grapefruit and passion fruit blend with hints of fragrant croissant and tomato leaf embellished with hydrocarbon stamps. In the mouth it is fresh and snappy, supported by a granular iodized presence. Fruity finish of extraordinary persistence.
After eight twelve-hour maceration and gentle pressing, 25% of the must is left to ferment in new tonneau, the other 75% in large wooden barrels where alcoholic fermentation takes place and where the wine remains for almost a year.
Tiefenbrunner’s Rachtl amazes us with its eloquent refinement of aromas and maximization of the grape variety. Virtuous interpretation of Sauvignon Blanc in Italy: fully qualified among the best Italian white wines from South Tyrol.
