Our tasting of the wine Per Papa 2012 of the Castello di Cigognola company complete with notes of aging, denomination, blend, serving temperature and alcohol volume
Per Papà 2012 – Castello di Cigognola
It has a garnet red color, a fine and intense nose, articulated between intense hints of ripe cherry and red fruits embellished with woody suggestions, sweet licorice spices. On the palate it is warm, soft and enveloping with a thick tannic texture which is counterbalanced by an important acid shoulder that gives great freshness and drinkability. Voluminous and harmonious finish with a light note of officinal herbs, of great persistence. Refine in small barrels for 12 months and in bottle for 24 months.
A long-limbed and exciting wine, with silky tannins and a nose of great eloquence.
