Taurasi ‘Principe Lagonessa’ 2012 – Amarano
Amarano’s 2012 Taurasi ‘Principe Lagonessa’ wine has a brilliant and impenetrable ruby red color. On the nose, it reveals itself complex and fine, articulating between tones of blueberries and cherries in spirits which are flanked by spicy tones of black pepper, white chocolate, eucalyptus, notes of resin, roasting and a slight reminiscence of undergrowth.
On the palate it has a sensational polyphenolic outfit with engaging, ripe and compact tannins synergistically linked to the fresh component that gives balance, harmony and enjoyment to the sip. Dense finish of sensational length in which the fruit and spices echo penetratingly. Obtained from a late harvest and aged for 24/36 in large oak barrels.
A voluminous, balsamic and persistent wine. Deservedly among the best interpretations of Taurasi.
