The Batzella company produces fine wines focusing on great respect for the territory and meticulous processing of the grapes: essential ingredients for highly successful wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The History of Batzella Wines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Franco Batzella and his wife, Khanh Nguyen, have always been people with great sensitivity and passion, capable of appreciating the best things in life. For this reason they decided to embark on a new great adventure in the world of wine starting from 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following a successful career in international finance they decide to found their small winery on the Tuscan coast in the southern Tuscan area called Maremma, in this area the famous Italian appellation DOC Bolgheri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The Batzellas were able to create and renew wine in Bolgheri, focusing in particular on the potential of Cabernet Sauvignon in Maremma, obtaining excellent results characterized by a unique character. But sensational results were also obtained with grape varieties originating from the Rhone such as Syrah and Viognier, interpreted by Batzella in an elegant and Mediterranean key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the production of their wines, the Batzellas therefore adopted a meticulous approach by selecting highly experienced consultants: Stefano Bartolomei for viticulture, Attilio Pagli, now very skilfully assisted by Laura Zuddas, for the oenological aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Terroir of the Wines of Batzella<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The climate where Batzella wines are produced is Mediterranean, characterized by warm days and cool nights, also favored by the thermoregulatory action of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The vineyards are located at variable altitudes on the gentle hills in the heart of the Bolgheri appellation, where they are caressed by the fresh sea breezes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The soils are mainly clayey, with sands and pebbly deposits of alluvial origin. These are essential prerequisites for the production of wines of great intensity, structure and extraordinary aging potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Especially for demanding international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Viognier which in the Batzella vineyards acquire great character: volume, richness and aromas of rare elegance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Philosophy of Wines of Batzella<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The philosophy of Batzella wines consists in producing wines of great quality and among the best for excellent value for money. Batzellla wines are also produced in the spirit of respect for sustainability, biodiversity and sincere territorial expressiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In fact, no invasive synthetic products are used in the vineyard and in the cellar (even those allowed under organic conditions) so that the grapes can express themselves in a genuine way. This choice allows Batzella wines to convey the territorial enological expression of Bolgheri without compromise, also enhancing the character of the wines linked to the climatic trend of the different vintages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the search for quality for Batzella wines is expressed in a meticulous work in the vineyard attentive to the needs of the vine, and in a rigorous manual selection of the best grapes during the harvest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Batzella wines differ from many others of the Bolgheri appellation for their unique character, they are in fact endowed with great identity and characterization. Perhaps one of the most difficult aspects to obtain in this area and which testifies to the extraordinary quality of Batzella wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Batzella Wines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The Batzella wine line has been carefully thought out to represent the excellence of Bolgheri’s potential at various price ranges. It starts with Digi\u00e0 wine, the entry level wine “, a very captivating wine that includes a hint of Syrah in the classic blend, Pe\u00e0n is instead a classic Bolgheri blend, with great body, versatility and gastronomic potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the Batzella wines, Bolgheri Superiore ‘T\u00e2m’ is the flagship of the production. It is a wine of unusual elegance, which sensationally reconciles olfactory finesse and power on the palate. Fully among the best red wines of Bolgheri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vox Loci Syrah and Vox Loci Cabernet Franc should also be considered among the Batzella wines: two ambitious mono-varietal red wines that find their white counterpart in the Vox Loci Viognier. Finally, two excellent wines of great immediacy ideal for daily consumption complete the production of Batzella wines: Mezzod\u00ec, a very captivating and floral white and Pinky, a ros\u00e9 with excellent mineral savoriness and excellent vivacity and freshness.
