Fattori’s History and Terroir
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Fattori company is located in Veneto, in Terrossa di Ronc\u00e0 in the province of Verona, in the north-east of Italy, on the volcanic-basaltic hills of the DOC Soave and Lessini Durello, along the slopes of the extinct volcano: Monte Calvarina (682 m) . <\/span>The altitude that characterizes the family vineyards and the rigorous quality from the vineyard to the cellar, create the ideal conditions for excellent viticulture.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All the vineyards are arranged between\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>150 and 450 meters high<\/span><\/span><\/em> , where the dry and ventilated climate allows and facilitates sustainable when not strictly organic cultivation. <\/span>The <\/span>“white”<\/span><\/strong><\/strong> vineyards <\/span>\u00a0are located on the basaltic ridges of the\u00a0 <\/span>Val d’Alpone<\/span><\/em> , these are normally black, more rarely yellow, sometimes red from which\u00a0 <\/span>Terrossa<\/span><\/em> , where the activity began and where the cellar is still located.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Philosophy of the wines of Fattori
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hill cultivation is true passion<\/span><\/span><\/em> , symbiosis with the territory, cultural and territorial protection, in defense of an environment as gentle as it is fragile. <\/span>In the Fattori vineyards the important place is reserved for\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Garganega<\/span><\/span><\/strong> , the main grape of the territory for the production of Soave wine, without forgetting\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Durella<\/span><\/span><\/strong> , indigenous grape variety by definition, characterized by the natural and intrinsic acidity that lends itself to sparkling wine of Durello wine and\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Trebbiano di Soave<\/span><\/span><\/strong> . <\/span>In addition to this, with conviction, two terrains were sought, identified and dedicated to the national and international challenge, hosting respectively <\/span><\/span>\u00a0Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon<\/span><\/span><\/em> , both in the municipality of Ronc\u00e0.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\"Wine<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Recently the family purchased a 12-hectare property in <\/span><\/span>\u00a0Bastia\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (altitude 450 meters),\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Valpolicella area in the municipality of Montecchia di Crosara<\/span><\/span><\/em> , the last eastern portion of the denomination. <\/span>Here the vineyards stretch exactly on the ridge between the\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Val d’Alpone and the Val d’Illasi<\/span><\/span><\/em> , just above the town of Castelcerino, surrounded\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>by the Lessini, from Monte Baldo to the Piccole Dolomiti.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The wines of Fattori<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Up here the basalt, except for rare traces, leaves room for the limestone mixed with the yellowish sulfur rich sandstone. <\/span>These different components create a\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>peculiar geological situation<\/span><\/span><\/em> \u00a0which, in combination with altitude and constant ventilation, contributes to the formation of a truly optimal environment for\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Corvina<\/span><\/span><\/strong> . <\/span>Hence the grapes,\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>from organic cultivation<\/span><\/span><\/em> , for <\/span><\/span>Amarone\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Ripasso <\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Col de la Bastia.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
