<\/p>\n

Col Sandago’s History and Philosophy
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

“… If I had the ownership of that real viticultural heart, it has the name Col Sandago, I would have no doubt. <\/span>I would flatten all, but all, the vines of Prosecco, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as many others and I would leave – for its monstrous excellence – the Wildbacher vine. <\/span>Of this – of the possession of this heart – I confess to you: I have the utmost envy for you … \u201d. <\/span>Luigi Veronelli<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

With a dedication like this there is not much more to add. <\/span>The <\/span><\/span>Col Sandago<\/span><\/span><\/strong> winery <\/span>is located in that place blessed by God which is <\/span><\/span>Conegliano Valdobbiadene<\/span><\/span><\/strong> , 40 hectares in size, which include the hill called Col Sandago which gives the winery its name.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This winery, like many in this area, is dedicated to the processing of Prosecco, but the particularity that distinguishes it among others is the Wildbacher<\/strong>, a red grape variety, which came from Styria which is located in Austria. If today we still talk about Wildbacher it is thanks to Col Sandago, who at the time placed this grape on some rows and which is still found among its vineyards, among the Glera<\/strong> vines, which are instead the basis of processing and Prosecco<\/strong>. And so was born that legendary wine which is the Wildbacher Igt Rosso<\/strong> signed Col Sandago.<\/p>\n

\"with<\/p>\n

This is a part of the Veneto that is geographically and climatically well prepared for the production of excellent wines, thanks to the ripening of the grapes and a well-studied analysis of the vines, it is by no means an extremely difficult task to make a good production and fertility of the land, combined with excellent exposure to the sun and light, it leads, in a normal vintage, to ripe grapes and sweet, soft, structured, or fruity, fresh and fragrant wines.<\/p>\n

\"with<\/p>\n

Col Sandago did not take long to exploit these natural advantages and the decision to bottle a different and extraordinary wine like Wildbacher was soon taken. Not only is the line well organized, and the different labels are really the result of technique in the cellar, which is located in the municipality of Susegana in the province of Treviso, and of an oenological work done with care, but the intuition not to settle down only on what everyone has it has been a winner, because it not only strengthens the already great experience of this company in making wines of the Valdobbiadene tradition, but it enriches the whole contest in excellence and originality.<\/p>\n

The wines of Col Sandago<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

In addition to the fragrant, noble Wildbacher and dedicated labels, the proposed range is divided into Cuv\u00e9e, Prosecchi, White<\/strong> and red wines, Passiti<\/strong> and Distillates<\/strong>. Among the Prosecco, the “Vigna Del Cuc<\/strong>” Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg Brut,<\/strong> dry and harmonious is an example of all for taste and refinement, but also the noteworthy “Nature” Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg Rive Di Susegana Brut Nature<\/strong>, which Silver Medal was awarded at the 2019 Decanter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
