Tenuta Stella’s History and Philosophy
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tenuta Stella<\/span><\/span><\/strong> has its headquarters in Dolegna del <\/span><\/span>Collio<\/span><\/span><\/strong> , in Scri\u00f2, in the province of Gorizia, in one of the most prestigious Italian areas in the world for the production of wines, and especially of white wines, such as Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana, Friulano and Chardonnay.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"star<\/p>\n

The company is led by <\/span><\/span>Sergio Stevanato<\/span><\/span><\/strong> , born in 1943, founder, who for 10 years has tirelessly been carrying on this prestigious wine reality. <\/span>In fact, the company has <\/span><\/span>25 hectares, 11 of which are vineyards<\/span><\/span><\/strong> , entirely surrounded by woods, on terraces with guyot training systems at about 220\/270 m asl and cultivated almost exclusively with <\/span><\/span>indigenous grapes,<\/span><\/span><\/strong> following the dictates of <\/span><\/span>organic agriculture. <\/span><\/span><\/strong>The soil and subsoil, formed geologically following various erosions – the so-called “ponca” as it is defined in the dialectal slang typical of eastern Friuli and which dates back to the Eocene period and of marine origin. <\/span>The soil is therefore <\/span><\/span>rich in magnesium, phosphorus and potassium<\/span><\/span><\/strong>thus making it suitable for <\/span><\/span>quality viticulture<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and, consequently, for creating wines with <\/span>ideal<\/span><\/strong> characteristics <\/span><\/span>for structure and aromas.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The wines of Tenuta Stella<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the cellar, the vinification, aging and refining are carried out through <\/span><\/span>constant and scrupulous checks<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and with <\/span><\/span>minimal intervention on the wine,<\/span><\/span><\/strong> without ever neglecting the most ancient territorial wine traditions. The line offered is minimalist and centered on the production of <\/span><\/span>White Wines<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and <\/span><\/span>Classic Method Sparkling Wines<\/span><\/span><\/strong> , of the highest oenological excellence of <\/span><\/span>Collio. <\/span><\/span><\/strong>The wines are dense and over time have reached a high level of quality, recognized by the best national guides and interactions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

An example is the white wine Collio Ribolla Gialla \u201dDOC, dry and of remarkable freshness and flavor, with that slight sour note typical of the grape. But also the Collio Friulano DOC, made with 100% Tocai Friulano grapes, is a fresh wine, enveloping and the soul of the vine from which it is produced, and finally the Collio Malvasia DOC, made with pure Istrian Malvasia grapes which instead returns the symphony of this vine.<\/p>\n

Among the sparkling wines <\/span><\/span>Tanni Pas Dos\u00e8 Classic Method Blanc de Blanc 100% Chardonnay at<\/span><\/span><\/strong> 60 months on the lees, with a bright light of rare intensity, is a wine of great class and fabric, while <\/span><\/span>Ribolla Gialla Brut, Classic Method<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (referred to 36 months version will be released shortly) 100% yellow ribolla, it is a harmonic Bubbly and with perfect balance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
