Colline Teramane Montepulciano D’Abruzzo DOCG. "Il Grande Silenzio" 2017 by Fosso Corno
It has an impenetrable intense ruby red color. The nose opens austere with references to blackberries, ripe cherries, spiced black pepper, licorice and cocoa powder. On the palate it is warm, voluminous and enveloping with a medium thickness tannic texture and good freshness. Excellent harmonious and persistent finish.
It is subjected to a second fermentation in contact with the dried skins of Montepulciano. Finally, it is aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels with a capacity of 500 liters.

The company that produces this label is Fosso Corno
The history of this company took shape in 2001, when the Veronese Biscardo family bought the company in Fosso Corno, thanks to the passion and great professionalism of the father of the current owners Marco and his sister Sabrina Biscardo, who worked for 40 years at the "Gruppo Italiano Vini" and when the time of retirement came, he looked for an area suited to produce a SuperMontepulciano, his favorite wine since ever, thus moving from Veneto to the Teramo hills in Abruzzo.
