Barolo Riserva Ravera DOCG 2013 by Lo Zoccolaio
It has an intense ruby red color, the nose opens wide and complex ranging from intense hints of alpine flora to ripe berries, plum allusions embellished with undergrowth, sweet spices, and tobacco. On the palate, it is enveloping with a very thick but velvety tannic texture supported by an important acidic shoulder that gives great freshness and drinkability. Voluminous and harmonious finish with a balsamic note, of great persistence. It matures in French barriques for 42 months and ages in bottle for 6 months before being put on the market. Excellent aging potential.

Cascina Lo Zoccolaio has its neat rows, full of lush bunches, which ripen in the shadow of the Marquis Falletti castle, right on the Boschetti hill. One cannot fail to mention an element that in different cultures symbolizes knowledge and life, the White Poplar, which is represented by the company logo, this was a typical custom used in old farmhouses, that is to plant a large tree in the center of the courtyard, which it served to offer shade and shelter on summer days.
