Montepulciano an ancient Tuscan village, which from the top of a hill dominates the Valdichiana and Val d'Orcia, rich in history and immersed in the agricultural landscape of the Sienese lands, between hills covered with olive trees and vineyards, with pine and chestnut woods.
Here is born one of the most important production areas for a wine with a strong character: the Nobile Montepulciano and the grapes that characterize this aristocratic wine is the undisputed Sangiovese, which is called in these parts, the Prugnolo Gentile. In fact, the headquarters of the Consorzio del Vino Nobile is located in Montepulciano, where the Gracciano della Seta winery is also located, three of the oldest cellars in the area.
