Grapes: 100% Vernaccia Nera di Serrapetrona
Cantine Fontezoppa is a Marche-based company located in central Italy on the Adriatic coast in the province of Macerata between Civitanova Marche. The company offers a wide line that denotes the solidity of the cellar and ranges from white to red, to excellent sparkling wines. Making Pinot Noir is not easy, it is a complex grape, from early ripening and very sensitive to terroir, in fact in too hot climates, it matures quickly and does not fully develop the aromas that its peels can release. But the San Marone is a splendid result, among the reds the Vernaccia Nera is almost the mistress.
In fact, this young company, which takes its name from the ancient source of water that gushed out where the rows of vines run today. In a short time the winery reached, besides the considerable dimensions, a certain charisma in the production of wines, which reflect the tradition and the territory.
