We taste the wine "Aglianico del Taburno Riserva 2011"
It has a brilliant garnet red color. An intense austere but persuasive bouquet spreads on the nose, ranging from violet petals, ripe red fruits, reminiscences of black tea and spicy notes of cloves and nutmeg to finish with notes of roasted coffee and tobacco. In the mouth, it is enveloping, warm, soft with very long balsamic and spicy persistence.
Grapes: 100% Aglianico
The province of Benevento has been producing excellent grapes for excellent wines for centuries and expresses about 40% of the vineyard area of the Campania Region. If, as we believe, "wine is made in the vineyard", the La Fortezza vineyards express this noble concept with stubborn determination: their true strength, in fact, consists of a mix of soil quality, exposure, altitude and care of the vineyard.
