Tasting notes of Franciacorta wine Donna Cora Satèn Vintage 2012 by Tenuta Montenisa
It has a straw yellow color with golden reflections, a creamy froth and a very fine and persistent perlage. On the palate it is delicate with floral notes, hints of white pulp fruit, harmonious and balanced, characterized by a pleasant freshness and elegant olfactory complexity. It is subjected to a soft pressing. The "flower" must undergoes first fermentation in stainless steel tanks and in small barriques. Towards the spring of the following year the wine begins the second fermentation process in the bottle and subsequent contact with the yeasts for a period of 60 months.

It is in 1999 that the Antinori family, for centuries the undisputed protagonist of Italian wine, decides to undertake the path for the production of Spumanti in the heart of Franciacorta, in collaboration with the Maggi, historical family of this area of Brescia.
The aim was to be able to produce excellent Italian bubbles, enhancing the symbolic variety of the denomination, from the elegant chardonnay to the delicate pinot bianco and the decided pinot nero.
The historic vineyards of Tenuta Montenisa are located on the hill of S. Stefano, not far from Cazzago San Martino: here the grapes are grown and carefully selected by a team of experts. In fact, thanks to the conscious selection of the best grapes produced by exploiting the potential of intelligent agriculture, that of Montenisa has quickly established itself among the most prestigious realities of Franciacorta.
