Tasting notes of red wine Aglianico del Vulture Superiore Carato Venusio 2012
It has a ruby color with nuances that tend to garnet. To the nose it is penetrating, with fresh scents of blackberries, currants and violets to which more austere vegetal notes of humus and undergrowth are in contrast. In the mouth it is dry, fresh and harmonious, with a pleasant velvety tannin texture.
Aged in 225 liter oak barrels for twelve months.

Venosa is a city that rises north of Lucania and is famous for having given birth to Orazio and Prince Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa. Emblem of history and art, Venosa boasts a widely diffused and appreciated sector of culture, that of the Lucan wine par excellence, the Aglianico.
A wine with an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, a delicate aroma of ripe black fruits, an unmistakable, savory and harmonious taste that has seduced great characters from the past, including Carlo D 'Angiò and Pope Paolo III Farnese, and experts in the sector: is the AGLIANICO del VULTURE, a DOC wine that has over 2000 years of history and that represents the perfect combination of the rich and balanced composition of the volcanic soil (Vulture is precisely the volcano on whose soil the vine that produces it is grown ) and the fortunate climatic exposure of the gentle hills of Venosa.
