Tasting of Angelus Falerno del Massico DOC 2012 of Fattoria Pagano
Intense red color with garnet reflections, the nose offers a broad and composite warm profile, with hints of plum, black cherries, blackberries, juniper berries, undergrowth, elegantly closes with a finish of balsamic notes and hints of cocoa and vanilla. A wine that is generous and harmonious, combining intensity and pleasant velvety tannins. Stop in barriques for eighteen months and two years in the bottle.
Grapes: Aglianico 80%, Piedirosso 20%
Everything was born in 2001 from a passion for the world of wine by Antonio Pagano (accountant), an extraordinary character, sanguine, passionate and enormously in love with our land. The vineyards extend over two terraces, in Casale di Carinola (CE), an indescribable and relaxing panorama, where we can see Ischia, Procida and the Gulf of Gaeta. The vineyards of Aglianico, Piedirosso and Falanghina alternate, planted in the years 2002, 2003 and 2004 next to the pre-existing ancient vineyards that have been producing local varieties of white and blackberry grapes for over 70 years.
