Tasting notes of the wine the Gioe' Amarone della Valpolicella Docg Classico 2011 Rosso
Gioe' Amarone della Valpolicella Docg Classico 2011 Rosso Santa Sofia was produced in one of those golden years. To the eye, it shows an impenetrable ruby red with garnet hues. The nose is deep, intensely complex thanks to the fruity scents of marasca cherries preserved in alcohol, plums, raspberries, dry figs, ripe berries and steeped red flowers, with a strong scent of dark chocolate. The palate is full, warm, refined, velvety and well structured, tannins are full-flavored and lively. A perfect balance of acidity and sapidity. The finish is lasting, confirming its soft fruitiness.
Grapes: Corvina and Corvinone (80%), Rondinella (20%).
Alcohol 15,5% Vol.
