Tasting the red wine 2010 Divoto Copertino Riserva PDO by Apollonio 1870
The 2010 Divoto Copertino Riserva PDO shows an intense deep ruby red. The nose begins with a series of sweet scents of ripe dark berries, vanilla, a nice grassy touch - rosemary and thyme- and notes of dark spices. The palate is intense, full-bodied, with strong but wisely processed tannin. The fruity notes are persistent and the wine outstands in its power, smoothness and ripe juiciness. The finish is particularly long, but never invasive.
Grapes: 70% Negroamaro, 30% Montepulciano.
Alcohol: about 14 - 15%
