Tasting the Spaccasassi Moro di Matera D.O.C. 2014 of Tenuta Parco dei Monaci
Taste the red italian wine Spaccasassi
The name of Spaccasassi comes from the local dialect and stand for a tree (the hackberry), which has such a strong instinct for survival that it can even break up stones with its roots. The name also tells us that it is a powerful and long-lasting wine, a very intense ruby red in colour. It offers a bouquet of fresh fruit, with notes of rosemary and tobacco, boasting an intense but elegant body with well-balanced tannins after macerating on the skins for 6/7 weeks. A completely new and excellent red wine for the regional panorama.
